Scaly leg mites. Pimple ?

A feather cyst may be the problem if it is separate from the oil/preen gland. If the preen gland is involved, it may be an impacted preen gland. A warm wet compress can be used on the cyst or abscess for a few minutes. Then cleanse the skin with a disinfectant and use a sterilized needle to explore the cyst or abscess, to look for a feather underneath.

So should I pop it with a needle?

That what I said, to take a sterilized needle and “explore it” to look for a feather and then try to squeeze out the pus or material. Try to determine if it is a feather cyst or an abscessed preen gland. Tell us what you find.

Just popped it, there was lots of pus, hard to say what it was but there was a little feather under the pimple.

That sounds like an infected ingrown feather cyst.
