Here are the feet of one of my five, 2 1/2 year old hens. Background: Just lost one last week to unknown causes. This hen, Blondie is in the sick hospital for what appeared to be an impacted crop or gizzard, which has been ruled out. Awaiting fecal test and giving her observation. This week every hen is getting a close up assessment and foot washing.
So, is this scaly mites on Floppy?
If so, what treatments do you recommend if you have dealt with this problem in past?
