I have 3 3monthold cochins and just got a buff orp. about a month ago, their all buddies now. But the buff is quite shy and runs away from anyone that trys to get near her. I was just wondering if that was going to change or is she going to be crazy all the time. The other birds are friendly for the most part. I am hoping that once she get s bigger she will mellow out some.

My BO is the same way, she is definitely at the bottom of the pecking order (I have 9 pullets/hens). I have noticed they all seem to get along better after being together a few months. Hopefully it will steadily improve for you.

I have 3 pullets all the same age and my Buff Orpington is at the top of the pecking order and she runs towards me, she also runs towards my wife but my wife gets scared and runs then the BO chases her. With us it is our black australorp that is at the bottom and she doesn't like to be too near us, and runs away.
