Scared goose

My old girl who is about 8 years old, is petrified of… chickens! Just as if the last few months she’s super jumpy around the chickens mostly when they come behind her. I have all female chickens and none are at all aggressive. Any ideas? Maybe she’s just a scaredy goose

Have you checked her to see if she has gotten hurt geese will associate something that happened with who they were around at the time. Have any new cats dogs mice ect been hanging around there pen at night. Since she has always been with the chickens something probably happened. she could have simply been hit hard by a wing when one of the chickens was going up and down to roost. Just some thoughts.

Mine were like that, but they grew out of their fear of chickens. It's the otherway around now. Though one does startle easily.
