scared newbie

don't worry about it, keeping chickens is super easy and lots of fun, just make sure to keep their house, food, and water clean and you shouldn't have any problems

Thank you all so much for the positive encouragement. I just got home and checked on my girls and found some loose stools in the coop and in the run with blood in it. I put out some scratch and they all came running and eating. No one looked apparently ill but I am afraid I'm not sure what to check. They are all 12-14 wks old. Any advice??

The loose stool in the run with blood in it could be intestinal lining, OR, it could be cocci. If it's intestinal lining, that's normal and dont worry about it. If it's cocci, you'll need to purchase corid 9.6% oral solution which should be in the cattle section at your feed store, then dose all your chickens with it.
