I've been lucky in the past that my girls where in an enclosed run when we have done builds on our coop. So at the end of the day though they where reluctant they did finally go in the coop.
I agree if you can't get then in just collect as many as possible tonight and put then in, you might need to lock them in for a few days while they readjust, but other then stress and time they will eventually be ok with it. My best solution for getting my hens where i want is always mealworms, they come when i shake the bag I just dump a pile as far as i can in the direction I want then to go (like to get them back in the run if i let them free range) then soon as everyone is focused on treats I lock them in. It might not be the best solution for you but it works for me. My girls will be moving coops again soon as thier big new coop is almost complete
