Scared of the dark?!

Here’s my ‘very open air’ coop-run. I have plans to expand it in the near future, because chicken math

I hope it's predator proof, I see chain link fencing and one side with chicken wire on the bottom. But other than that looks fine, you need to let them get use to natural light. I wouldn't bother with the night light, there chirps only last for a short period.

It’s as predator proof as I know how to make it. There chain link & 1” chicken wire around the whole thing (chain link was there before I ever moved in, I think it used to be an old dog lot). I put chicken wire around the bottom too
 
I always go back to what they would have if they were being raised by a mother hen. She would gather them all together, cover them, and they would sleep under until the sun came up. No nightlights. I think yours are afraid of being outdoors at night. They need a place to huddle (later to roost) that is protected. Yes, always something to learn here!:frow
