scared to death

They are cute!!! If the legs aren't splayed, and the toes aren't curled (it doesn't look it from the pics) then I'd just keep an eye on her and watch. Hopefully it's just a tight muscle or something that will strengthen and correct itself. As for hearing them chirp inside the shell....sometimes I think it's better when you don't hear anything and they just pip. lol It's fun to hear them in there chirping, but then if they don't pip for hours you get worried, cause you know they are alive and you know they have pipped, and you are wondering how much oxygen they have....lol

I hope your chirper at least pips soon!

Someone please tell me there's nothing I can do to help the unhatched chick so I will stop wanting to bust through like incubator like the dadgum Kool aide man and "help" it out! I guess since it's chirping it has internally piped?
I thInk it's putting weight on it she hobbles on it bad though. Ok so I water candled them and only two wiggled So I eggtopsied the rest. ...theyes were very far along all except for one which shouldn't have made it into lockdown but I wasn't able to see because the shell was so dark. one of the eggs that is still alive is chirping I'm freaking out thinking that it's not going to make it.as humans with our babies everything is oh my gosh we have to get it out now! I know its not the same with chicks but it's hard to fight that instinct.I keep thinking what if it doesn't make it!the others were so far along that it makes me nervous that something is going to happen to this one and the other one.

It is nerve grinding! Lol I was water candling then and I heard cheep cheep and I thought it was the two that hatched already but NOPE it was one of my olive eggs and it want it to hatch SO BAD! They were the ones i wanted to hatch the most which of course means a light green and a white one hatched but zero olive eggs and this is the only one left :/ the rest have died.

Just remember if you help it too soon (and usually before the pip is too soon) the chances of survival are much less than if you wait. Hard, I know. Yes, a chirping chick is an internally pipped chick.

My first one, I swear I didn't see eat the first at least 24 hours...lol I was getting so worried...lol Of course it was my first, and the whole thought they didn't "need" food for the first couple days was foreign to me, but eventually he started pecking the crumble.

My spellchecker is totally messing up my posts ugh I'm in such a hurry typing is my problem. Do you think the chirper is ok? I thought it was ok to water candle as long *** no external pips?
