Why do we even need federal taxs ? Aside from it's original purpose of funding war, and thats turned into a 24 7 thing. I'm all for a strong milatary,I bought my brother a vest when he went to Iraq. Where were our dollars then?

I paid in over 700 thousand dollars in taxes over the last 5 years that my shop was open. Then last year in march we had to close our doors. I sold my house and truck ,bought a repo trailer and put it on the 46 acres I was suppose to retire on in 20 years.Now I'm selling fire wood just to pay the insurance and taxes on what I have left.I dont mind being poor because I was born that way,I mind being screwed over by the fed.
