Hi all,
I’m planning to incubate a number of eggs in school. I have an automatic turning/temp/humidity incubator which I’ve used for the previous two years with light Sussex eggs and had a reasonable hatch rate (9/12 on average). However, this year I’m using Pekin bantam eggs alongside the light Sussex.
The eggs are being delivered on Wednesday by post (!) but I don’t want to put them into the incubator until next Tuesday - is this too long to leave them or should I just get them in straight away?
Plus, I usually put up the humidity on day 18 but this falls on a weekend when the school is closed - can I put up the humidity on day 16 instead?
Any tips gratefully received.
