I'm home schooled, so I don't have many friends.

My only friends that don't go to public school (and i only have a couple that do) are my siblings, my parents and adults.

Being home-schooled is really great,

(except for the lack of friends) I only have one friend that is about my age (he's three years younger) that I see regularly, and he lives up the road, plus some of his friends are more or less my friends too, and my adult friends (such as the farmer up the road that I work for sometimes).

Bantimna, what grade are you in, if you don't mind my asking.

Congrats on getting to your senior year.Hope next year will be great for you.

My kids are currently in school for their last day.Sadly the day of fun planned for them at the local golf place has been ruined by all day rain. I hope they still have a nice day.I absolutely can not wait to drive through our gate and park our car for the next few days! No need to leave the home except for food!

On homeschool-it is a wonderful way to learn. You will find those friends in the oddest places.

My kids have been in a variety of schools and they have *school* friends meaning they do not see them outside of school.
Well one time my dd had one girl over.I always offer to have kids over, but families seem too busy or whatever.

My kids are still friends with my former co-workers kids.We are over an hour away from them now,so we only see/talk to them in the summer when I have the 2 boys over for pretty much all the summer...as I hate to drive them back and forth!

I had expected my kids would have a lot more contact with classmates outside of school,so that not happening has been disappointing. Contact with others had been an issue when we homeschooled, but lol, it is still an issue when we put them IN school.
