Zachary sat in the dark alleyway in his torn clothing and old sneakers with holes in them, and he had an old tattered blanket around him, he stared blankly at the floor, thinking.

Ivory jumped as the professors voice popped into her head, calling her down to his office. She stuffed a few more handfuls of candy in her mouth and went to his office. "Yeth?" She said, still trying to chew the candy. The professor smiled. He explained that he needed her to go get a new student. "Oh, ok!" She said, exited. She'd never done this before, so she didn't know what to expect. The professor explained his gifts and gave her directions. "Ok." She said, after he warned her about his personality and that she shouldn't be too pushy.

Zachary, stood up, and took a few scraps of a sandwich he had saved and ate them, he sighed and stuck his head out of the alleyway, it was starting to get dark, and he he walked back into the alley, preparing to do some scavenging.

Ivory took the car, giving the driver directions. He dropped her off near Zachary's location and she got out. She walked down the sidewalk. She held her hand out as if she was holding a flashlight, since it was getting pretty dark, and made light appear in her hand, shining out in front of her, also trying to dim the brightness of her glowing skin as much as possible.

Zachary stopped, he felt a strange presence, he then suddenly just melted into darkness, disappearing completely, he climbed up the wall in the alley, sitting on a ledge roughly 10 feet above the ground, whatever was coming, he was the one going to get the jump on it.

Ivory could tell someone was close, and guessed it was Zach, though she could tell for sure. She winced as she light up the ally on accident with herself. It was because if her mood. Since was was almost always happy and exited, she was always glowing. She looked around the ally, feeling someone's presence, but not seeing.

Zachary looked down on Ivory, as he studied her, he realized she was both light, and very agile, if he had to run, he knew he wouldn't get very far, so he used the darkness behind him, and melted into it, coming back out of it on top of the roof, he had the advantage over her during the night.

Ivory looked around. Since he had shadows, he was probably hiding with them. And she knew he could be in anyone since it was night. "Um, Zachary?" She called out, hoping that would catch his attention. First time out, and I'm already failing miserably. she thought
