She doesn't make it happen, or control it. She just knows. She might know she would die before she did. That doesn't mean she would be making herself die. She would just know. make more sense?
And Vondrr must be able to see where he's teleporting. If he tries to teleport to something he cannot, at that time, see, it is very likely he would teleport to the middle of something. Impaled. Not good.
He may also be able to teleport cross-dimentional... I'm playing with the idea.
