Luna flew out of the boundaries of the school, flying high over the tops of the trees. She finally tucked her wings in and shot downward, her wigs snapping open and slowing her down at the last second, and landed in a clearing. She walked through the trees till she walked into another clearing. It was a park, a part of the city. Since it was dark, no body was in the park. The moon illuminated the park, allowing her to spot the swings. She tucked her wings behind her, so she could fit in the swing, and sat in the swing seat, then allowed her wings to stretch out behind her. She sighed and gently swung back and forth. She wished her brother were there with her. He loved to swing in the swings, especially when Luna pushed him. She felt the familiar ache of guilt and sadness for leaving them behind. But she knew it was for the best. If she had stayed, she would have hurt him or her dad.
Luna heard wings beating above her an looked up. Her eyes widened when she saw it was another kid with wings. She thought she was the only one with wings. She got distracted by the swing. She realized she wasn't wearing her gloves, and the chain rope was freezing over, making the swing move stiffly. The ice spread over the entire swing set, freezing the chains and plastic seats. She cringed. "Crap." People wound be wondering about that in the morning. She slipped off her boots and touched the floor, allowing a soft blanket of frost to spread over the grass, so the frozen swing set would look less suspicious.Angelos flew above, his white wings silver in the moonlight.
