Hello everyone. I've been learning a lot from your posts. I work at a private school and we acquired chicks back in Jan/Feb. I wasn't part of raising the chicks. I got involved once the chickens were moved outside to their coop and run. It's been a lot of work and a lot of fun. I have a non-profit animal rescue, Arden's Arc, for dogs with special needs and cats from the streets. It's been around since 2002, only dogs for the first 7 years, then adding cats. But I've been taking a bit of a break for the past 18 months, only a few cats in the rescue at this time. That's a good thing since I've been spending a good amount of my time caring for the chickens. Unfortunately, 1 chicken turned out to be a rooster and I have to find a place for him to go. My first post, coming soon, will be about him.....
