I have read quite a few of dragon riders of pern books and enjoyed them. It’s been so long since I read the Eragon series, but I remember enjoying them. I do believe they are a bit slow starting as this current Eragon era book I’m reading is following suit. Honestly I think the best book I’ve read is “the way of kings” by Brandon Sanderson. Really great, I’ve yet to read the second and need to reread the original. I also love historical novels, The Religion is fantastic and the Aztec series while a bit crude are also amazing.
