Score! Pumpkins

I stopped by a local farmer pumpkin stand to help clean out his inventory. He had a pile of pie pumpkins with a sign $1 each.

I asked how much for the pie pumpkins?
and he asked how many do you want?
How about all of them.
How about $5?
Sounds good to me.

I got about 25 pie pumkins for $5.

The chickens will be having pumpkings for the winter.

Pumpkin soup, p.cookies, p.muffins, p.bread, p.cheesecake....on and on and of course the innards for the chickies!

Nice! I asked the produce guy at the grocery store how much for the left over pumpkins. He said 25 cents a pound! No thanks. I'll check with some of the farmers.

That is so awesome. Im going to have dh check out some pumpkin patches tomorrow.

Plus he gets them because he likes the seeds. So it will be a win win situation.
