ok so Ebony my most beautiful blackrock went broody! she had 14 eggs under her in total , and all were scots dumpy X either blackrock , rir or leghorn! 6 where purebred cuckoo scots dumpys though , and hatching has finally stopped after 6 days today! she has 9 chicks!! 5 are scots dumpy cross's and 4 are pb! there names are:
CROSS'S: ivory , skittles , memphis , nuttela and dotty!

PUREBREDS: cole , persil , zeus and chas!

Aaaaawwww! And such a good mama too! Think how much work she's saved you! How can you tell the purebreds?

the purebreds are black and yellow , with shorter legs (barely noticable) but we can tell all our poultry apart by face! the Xbreeds are dumpy crosses with rir and blackrock , but still have the short legs! and ya , she saved me a lot of money and time! more time to spend bonding woith my ducks
