Afternoon. One of my 1-yr-old Golden Laced Wyandotte hens laid what looks like scrambled eggs in a nesting spot today (photo attached). I don't know which of the seven hens specifically but they all are ambulating, eating, drinking and scratching around outside as usual. Two of them do seem to be wheezing though this morning after a marked cold front with sleet that went through yesterday, if that has any link.

Thanks!
Heather

It looks like it might be some lash egg material to me. It could mean she has an infection or something else possibly going on in her reproductive tract. I'll let others with more experience help you more...
Thanks, @GravityWaves. I thought maybe the same thing but it didn't quite look like any of the other lash egg photos when researching. This looked more like a mix of raw yolk and some curdled and cooked yolk. Not a clue!

Lash material along with yolk would be my guess.
Cutting the lash like stuff lengthwise might clarify.
Thanks, @aart. I'll have to see if I can fish it out of the garbage. What would I find if it's lash material, and what can I do other than maybe NutriDrench in the water? They already get clean water daily with 1 Tb ACV added to the gallon every other day.

Unfortunately my husband has been working in the garage all day and the weird blob was lost to the bottom somewhere. What other symptoms should I expect if this was a lash egg?

Lash material (pus) is layered and cheesy in consistency.
Thanks for the description. Unfortunately it got buried in the garage bin and I'm unable to inspect further. Do you think this is a lash egg based on the image? It was half raw yolk and half cooked/curdled yolk; no shell. Any other signs or symptoms, or preventative treatments to look at?

Lash mean there's an infection in the reproductive system.
Nutridrench will not help.
Anti-biotics might help, if you find more lash material.

Google pics of 'lash eggs' to get any idea of what they look like.

This is of no benefit.
