screaming chicken

ok i here goes, i have this broody hen who latley has been screaming her head off whenever i touch her and its not just cluck cluck cluck its literaly defening screams. she is 1/2 orpington and 1/2 isa brown if that helps

Oh, yeah, my Jersey Giants can really shriek. They even 'gape' the upper and lower beak in a most impressive manner.

Be glad you don't have a broody game hen. They'll give you a beating you won't forget.

Mhmm, never again am I moving a broody game hen or andalusian broody.... the only way to keep her quiet is to not touch her/ disturb her and leave her in peace. she is giving you a warning to leave her alone, it is also possibly a frightened scream or a cry for backup ( I have 2 frizzles who are nuts and screech when you get near them for backup.... the other birds just ignore them)
