I loooove my Sun Conure. I never named him...I just call him "Sun Conure." haha

He is best friends with my Green Cheek!

We tryed the whole adoption thing it would actually cost more to adopt then buy from our local pet shop.

I found mine on Hoobly for $150 with her cage, toys, and some food. She was less than one year old, and they had her dna papers too. If you keep your eyes open, they become available fairly often. A lot of people realize they can't handle it after getting them. She can REALLY be annoying, but I just love her. She would just about live on my shoulder if I let her lol.

Great name -- I have a yellow-sided green cheek conure named Peach! I was told when I went looking for an exotic bird that green cheeks are among the quieter conures (which is of course relative, as there's no such thing as a "quiet" conure!) and so far it seems to be the case. He's a talker, but usually only gets screechy for a short time around 10AM each day. I wish I had more time to handle him, as he's gotten a bit nippy over the last year or two.

Thanks for sharing pics -- your Peachy is lovely.

Such precious photos! Peaches is gorgeous. I myself have a Sun Conure, Gabby, going on 10 years. She is hilarious. Pretty quiet until she sees anything black moving outside and she goes bonkers. She perches on window sills. My parrots are free flighted in the house. I also have an Alexandrine Parakeet, a Hahn's Macaw, and a White Bellied Caique. My White Bellied Caique refuses to fly so he walks around inside. My Hahn's Macaw and White Bellied Caique were rescues. My Alexandrine and Sun Conure came from a Breeder in Chicago. In fact I used to have 20+ parrots in the house before I got into poultry
