Screw myself out of deep litter?

We don't have deep litter but we used sand, and our pop door is right level with the bottom of the coop AND it's not very big. We did the interior barrier thing like the picture and it works fine. You just have to clean the poop out of that area but it's not too big of a deal.

That's what I did in my first coop. No problems.
