I haven't heard of it before so that's why I was curious. I'm not sure what chemicals might be in them is why I asked.

Yeah I'm not sure... but all the chicks I've done it to have been healthy so...

What you might could do is band them with different colors so you know it's not bad for them.

Don't worry I'm not going to turn the chick red! But I've seen someone turn their chick pink with food coloring!

I think some people use zip ties, I don't really like that idea though, it could tighten up more somehow.

I saw that thread! They said they didn't know how it happened, so they purposefully dyed it to trick everybody?

Yeah they make them for chicks. Some breeders do that so they can separate certain colored chicks in a hatch.

They were asking why their chick had pink on it. They said they had no idea how it happened.
