LH-the pics on that site are fantastic- what a collection of some of the great breeding horses in Arabian history- there are pictures there I have never seen.
I would love to see Jo have another foal- and you need another horse, a horse for your horse, you know? I still have her mama, have seen both her grandfathers, and watched her sire grow up, boarded her paternal grannie at my place, so I know the faults and strong points on both sides pretty well - I would be most happy to help you make a choice!

for yellow chicks!!!!

Knox, I am always a wreck and struggle and struggle over breeding anything. I cannot relax and be casual about it no matter what I do, either.

I am counting on your input but I am really leaning towards Odyssey.

If you ever find her futurity pic that I have a photocopy of, make me a copy and I will submit it to the webmaster...I added Ruby Jo to that site, she had never been submitted as progeny.

They have some nice pics of the older lines.

Who's bright idea was it to do the deep clean method in a huge barn - full goggles - rubber gloves - and face mask - sweating like i have never done before. Chickens up the hill foraging MINUS ONE - a certain Del named Bubble WHO has to be under foot - " Whatcha doin?" Take wheelbarrows full to burn pile - Bubble " Ok i will follow you out there and back - I am helping Dad! " When i stop to tell her to get out of the way she looks at me all hurt head cocked " But Dad iam helping"

OMG you big ole meanie! She is just doing her part and trying to help Daddy, how could you be so mean to that sweet helper. Notice SHE was the only one trying to help you, you would think you would be kinder to her. She needs to come live in Kentucky, I can always use barn help and I give treats and rewards for help. Poor abused dear, Knox I am so shocked at your behavior! For shame.

Imagine having big ole Lancelot under foot in whatever you do with the Sumo Chicken and Athena nearby and Ruby behind you. I could still use more help though so you just send that sweetie pie to me you mean ole man you.

LOVE it! Those crazy Dels are just perfect for telling stories about. I think someone (hear that "someone," LadyHawk) should write a book of short stories with Delaware "true stories." Heck, even a book of stories of ALL chickens would be cool.

Chief, Goobey and 'Milio all came to the defense of their girls today, when the evil, rotten, vile Sharp Shinned Hawk paid a visit to our air space!! I'm so gosh darn proud of my boys! Even baby 'Milio [he's less than 6 months old and that makes him still a baby in my eyes] was screaming out a challenge to the hawk while putting himself between his ladies and said vile creature!

Chief and Goobey had the main flock of girls rounded up tight and tucked under the porch while the two of them stood side by side, a united front, and hurled insults and vulgarities at the hawk!!

Meanwhile, CB, Brutus, and Red were a hundred yards away in their little pen and screaming their heads off as well. So, six glorious boys stood their ground, and sent up the alarm that brought me out of the house to see what was the matter.

We have a strict SSS policy at our place. It was absolutely enforced today!
