That's very fitting. Would you like your points now, or later?

Oh wait, there was a whole point to my saying something about roosters.

I am getting my splash mottled bantam cochin back next weekend. I am probably going to get a new black mottled cochin rooster at crossroads. I also have a black mottled cochin cockerel but dont particularly like him and will probably sell him at the show in November, along with an extra hen.

I am growing up 8 mottled younguns. 5 cockerels and 3 pullets. Looks like I am going to let the 3 pullets live with the adults and I'll have to make a bachelor pad for the others. Wonder if I could convince the NH boys to live with them in a big bachelor pad? LOL. Probably not.....

Well, these are the meanest little boogers I have ever seen. I don't like mean roosters in the slightest........HOWEVER, Mr Mottled was a little jerk but in a loveable way. These are his sons and definitely inherited the mean streak. I am hoping they mellow out with age. I wouldn't be surprised if they would pick fights, just like he did.

Mr Mottled, back in his better days

Oh btw, if you can see how white his head is in the picture vs the blue rooster.....that was a couple days after his couple week long recovery after getting ripped to pieces from one of the boys. His face was so torn up and swollen that his eyes were swollen shut for a WEEK. Little jerk.

He had little man syndrome.

Now, having said that.....I just loved and adored him

He used to follow me around the big yard (before he got restricted to a girl only pen) and sit and have margaritas with me after work.
