Good News! My duck that has been all alone since her mate died and was being bullied by the other ducks is a mama! She started hissing at us over her eggs after the blue swedish duckies died so I told Cheyenne not to take her eggs and let her sit on them if she wanted. Chy went out to let Lancelot and the girls out and this baby duckie tried coming out of the coop. So she brings it to me and it was adorable so we went out to give it back to Mounds and put baby food in the dog crate with her for duckie and there were 4 or 5 other babies in there with her. So Mounds is so happy. She has her own babies (albeit they will be crossbreeds of Ancona and the GWH males I have). I will get pics once her new little family is all fluffed up and settled in.

It was sleeting today and I have another Delaware hen, my oldest, that has decided to go broody.

I could not get many pics this evening but I tried....I will get more tomorrow. OMG they are adorable and she is a good mama, I am very proud of her and happy for her.

This little guy either got stepped on in the confusion, has not gotten sea legs yet or was a bit spraddle legged so he got the bandaid treatment immediately just in case I will check him out tomorrow because I really think he was a bit spraddled. Mama was nudging him to get him moving with his bandaid when I returned him, she was taking time with it to make sure it got to food and water. I was really impressed because she was very good with us taking it and bringing it back. Not bad at all for a first timer.

Hi all from Indy! Wow is this show crazy!We gotin and i thought this is alot of birds - that was youth only! The other room had the main show! WOW! Such great birds - amazing. Have met some super nice people = talked for a long time with a breeder of Australian spotted ducks LH?! They are really neat - not recognized but she is trying. Stared for a long time at the bantam cornish - the cutest lil buggars - and realizing that my bantam rocks are really acutally pretty good! huh - who knew?
No sightings of SDWD'ers tho! Off to meet local friends for dinner and drinks -
