So funny you mention this, Cyn. I am thinking the very same thing. Actually, I wanted to get my hair cut last week, but ran out of time. I like this 2007 hair do of Lisa Rinna. I dunno, I think I want to go even shorter.

You, too, Kathy! We can both show off our new hairdos.

I got only 2 eggs today. That is the fewest number of eggs from this flock, ever, and these were from the main, older flock, not the younger layers, either. One belonged to Emily and I think the other one was Fern's.

LH I did an eggtopsy on the Paint eggs all were halfway quitters and all were black. So had they hatched we still wouldn't have gotten a Paint. I think Mom is getting me a real egg candler so maybe I can get better at candling. The last Orp is out of its egg but not sure what color it is. Its either Black, Dark Lav, or Blue. Have to wait and let it dry off.

Bummer on the Paints, Brandon, but it was so sweet of you to do that for her anyway. Best candler in the world is a slide projector. You just twist a washcloth into a donut shape, sit it on the lens and put the egg on that; just have to be careful not to leave it on long. You'd be able to candle a Silkie egg at 4 days with that baby. I use one all the time for mine, even for Welsummer and Marans and Olive Eggers, it works because of the 300 watt bulb.

Brandon, I am sorry they quit on you - I hate when they get part way there and don't make it.

Cyn and Kathy, those style are adorable, but they take WORK. Long hair is much easier to deal with. I know, I have tried two different times to go short and its way too aggravating- gotta use 46 bottles of different goops and sprays to make it stay poufy. And on bad hair days there will be no more recourse to the old ponytail. You will have to wear a little hat. Or a chicken on your head. I will still love you both if you do it, (ya, aren't you just relieved - HA!) but my advice is either go short enough to not have to do anything but tousle it dry, or leave it long.

Sorry for being such a party pooper.

You recall, Beth, that I have inherited hair loss, though. It's super thin so long hair is really awful with glimpses of bare scalp showing. Remember old Ben Franklin??

I can't do ponytails. Tom detests women putting their hair up. Updo's make him upchuck and I'm dead serious. He'd rather I have shorter hair than put it up in any way. Weird man, I know. He won't make me do anything or forbid me to do anything, but I try not to gross him out too much if I can help it, LOL.

Really? Well Tom is a sweetie and he can have his oddity or two if he wants-

It's not like the rest of us don't have them - I think your real estate pic was gorgeous, and if you are going to do it, go for that look - it likes your cheekbones.

And your hair is no where NEAR as thin as old Ben's, woman!!!!
