I'm very worried about the Suedenator tonight. He is having trouble breathing-sounds like pneumonia. He's has about 5 misting sessions with Oxine today, had several yesterday. Earlier, his color was good and he seemed a tad better, but at night, as you know, these things seem worse. Tomorrow is Day 3 of this and I'm hoping he'll turn a corner for us. He's about to turn 5 years old and has never been ill a day in his life till now. I think his age is catching up with him and he's just gone through his molt, still getting the tail feathers in, so his system was taxed already.

for my sweet blue boy. I'd like a couple of Suedelettes out of him with Hope and Grace. Hope was on a nest today, cackled, but no egg-I think her first egg will be here tomorrow. We love Suede so much. He's never given us a moment's trouble, not even one nip, nothing, such a good boy always. I realize they don't live forever, especially the great big guys, but it's just too soon so he needs to gather up all that inner strength and stick around to father more kids.

Beth, I saw your pics in the Delaware thread with Ultrasuede in the background. He's just so much like his daddy.

Cyn, don't you worry I am not going anywhere. Not without a fight and being dragged kicking and screaming. Now you tell Suede that he needs to take his Tylan, get his misting and get over this immediately. Remind him that I love him and tell him My heart could not take losing him right now and I will not have it! My plan is to bake him some more seed cakes and muffins and come visit in the Spring and by gosh he better straighten his act up and b ready for the treats and me when we arrive. No excuses!

Yes Diva Do and Lancelot are my sweeties as are all my boys. How is My Little Love? That adorable little pint sized studmuffin.

Cyn, if you want to try Denegard, I will overnite you some. Suede needs to stick around! He is only middle aged! Tell him I will ship him a whole can of mackerel, too!
Ultrasuede is not as big, but he has that mellow, "watcha doin', whatcha got for me to eat, here, I will stand by you and watch over you, too" kind of attitude that just makes you love a good roo.

LH - i love that story - animals know this stuff! They are amazing! My indoor cat who is a normal well asi call her P.I.T.A ( initials for sometihng i cant post onhere) when i am sick she will lay on my stmoach - or if i am laying on my side - will scale up there and lay in the curves of my side purring and licking me -weird sweet cat.

If you end up in Columbus for a doc i simply must come meet you even if its five minutes !!!!

Knox dang you I was just in Columbus a month plus ago and you missed me. LOL. But I am sure we will be back near there at some point. LOL. I keep telling ya'll I ain't going nowhere dang it. I will find a doc that has some sense and can look at the whole picture and find out what is throwing stuff outta whack.

Now who wants to go have a molar pulled for me today? Volunteers? Victims that need to be forced into the chair? Hmmmmmm. Hahahaha

Things here are good but it is going to rain all day ick and then get cold again tomorrow ick again

Beth, that is very sweet of you, but I don't think Suede has anything Denagard is for. This is a pneumonia type thing, not a contagious thing. No one else is ill other than of course, Isaac is having some minor issues with the wild weather ups and downs after his major fungal infection this summer. It did rain last week and I think Suede got wet more than we realized once, though we try not to allow them to stay out in the rain when it's also nippy.

He's crowing this morning. Some crows sound much better, some sound worse, but his color is good. He'll get Tylan and more Oxine misting today and some special food. He looks so great with all his new bright blue feathers. He has to have a photo session so he'd better get on the upswing for us!

LH, your little love likes to nip me, but he dances like a sissy girl for DH to pick him up for snuggles. Sheesh, at least Suede, Isaac and Zane love me.

Well I just dropped in to check things out and it looks like I'm not the only one fighting the cough and whatever. I've been taking Night Quill during the day just to get some sleep.

The weather has been nice and there's much to do like pull in the hoses before the snow comes. Jesse has sports so it's hard to get him over here to help.

Cyn - I've got orps and they are laying late too. The BBS from Claudia has been laying for a while but the others from Jody are just starting up. Thank God, I need the eggs. Oh the wht from Jody has been laying for a while now too. I'd like to get the Lavs as nice as her Buffs.

Rudy as i call him is quite a nice large bird.
