Sdwd

Now, that is a barn! I tried to answer earlier and there was some sort of glitch that wouldn't allow me to, dang it. Tom said that was the one he envisioned building here, just on a much reduced scale.

Kathy, what is your favorite quilt batting to use? I have trouble deciding which one beards the least. Of course, I don't want to pay through the nose for it, either.

Hi,
I've been a member for about 9 months now, and I've just taken a look through the glossary, but I've finally gotten to the point where I'm gonna break down and ask.......what is SDWD? My curiosity has finally gotten the best of me!

Oh, we could tell ya Maizy'sMom, but then we'd have to make you disappear!

Just kidding.

It stands for Society for Delaware World Domination. Get yourself some good quality Delaware's and you too can be part of the movement!

But, if you do that, then it's too late to really understand what it's all about!

AAaHaaA! Well, at least now it makes sense! Thanks for the clarification. I am rather tightly constrained to keeping just my four girls, but I have been developing quite a "chicken math" wish list, which currently consists of an EE, a Welsumer or Marans, and a Delaware or Light Brahma. I tend to like a cold tolerant, docile breed. And as gorgeous as they are, I shy away from roos...I don't want to push the neighbors' limits.
Does it count if my son's girlfriend is from Delaware? We're hoping she's a keeper!

Hobbs 80/20, Warm and Natural, and Quilter's Dream blend are the 3 that I like the most. There is a relatively new product out now, bamboo batting. I am anxious to hear how that does, though it is pricey.

I just saw that bamboo batting on Amazon for the first time. Will wait to see the reviews on that. I have a small piece of Warm & Natural here and I have had the Hobbs once when I went to Hobby Lobby. Gosh, I wish I had a Hobby Lobby closer! That place is AWESOME! They have more colors of hand quilting thread than anybody, very reasonably priced, too.

Oooh! I love Hobby Lobby! And surprisingly enough, so does Denny!

It's not often I can find a crafting place that also appeals to him. Cyn, have you checked their website? You can print out a 40% off coupon towards any regularly priced item. And you can do that every day for as long as you like. I wish our Hobby Lobby were closer too. Though it's probably a good thing that it's over 30 minutes away. I'd probably blow the household budget if it were any closer!

There is a hobby lobby within spitting distance from my work. I can see the building out the window. I don't go there often......good thing I'm not that crafty, or I'd be broke. I can be there in 3 minutes! LOL

ooooohhhhh Hobby Lobby is nice but I must avoid bead stores...when we were in Washington Shipwreck beads was my downfall/addiction.

Well I am off to the shooting range with DH...I need to shoot something so I guess a paper target will do, maybe I will buy a Zombie target. hahahaha See you all later.
