Yeah and just watch the temps a little closer too as they hatch out and you remove biddies the temps sometimes will drop too as your removing mass that hold heat in the there, + making more open space. You'll get the hang of it, also don't adjust for temp drops right after you open it, give about 30 to 45 minutes for the temp to stabilize again then see where its at. Hope I'm helping more then confusing or making anxiety! (gulp)

Not at all! We have wood heat so it stays pretty warm in the house [think, T-shirts] but I do worry about the humidity.

I don't even have a brooder box ready yet. I had planned on doing that today. Heading out to get the equipment now.

I don't call it "lockdown" because I don't lock anything down. I get them out when they're dry, no matter when it is, just pinpoint the location of the chick, tip the edge and snatch it's tushy outta there.
