Well now Cyn....ya know how it is with those party boy types....all Armani suits, studliness and Rolex wrists in their youth and then well they need watch repair...I would not be too hard on Ike, he cannot help it. Afterall, he just cannot compete with the Suedenator who is like a Timex and just keeps on ticking.


Kathy...Hector is a big ole boy for not quite 8 months old I really wonder how big he will get when he reaches maturity. I am just very thankful he and Lancelot can co-operate the laying flock. Lancelot will be here with me forever and I really was set on keeping Hector, even if he got his own girls and pen. But them together is perfect for me because he is learning a lot from Lancelot. However, Lancelot is very jealous when it comes to me....if I am showing Hector direct attention or giving him treats Lancelot charges over and steps between Hector and I....he will even thunk Hector a good one if necessary to make him go away from me. He does let Hector interact with Cheyenne all he wants to or Bill but me, he gets out of sorts over. Silly boys.

Cyn, thanks for the audio link. Those Guinea's sound an awful lot like wild turkeys. I can see it all now.....a small flock of Guinea's at our place and every wild turkey within a ten mile radius coming in to check them out!

Kathy, you just have to keep those Emu babies now. They've imprinted on you for sure. How could you possibly even think of sending them down the road? I'm sure you wouldn't get any objections from the rest of your family if you decided to keep them!

I think my silver Phoenix, Molly, is broody, darn it. She was on the nest for hours and at roost time, still there. She did lay today and I didn't take her egg from her, but there she sat at 7 p.m. You know it's contagious. She caught it from Aimee and Penny. Now, watch Carly and Shadow go broody, too.

So, what do you get from a Belgian D'Anver (porcelain) x Silver Phoenix (LF)? A crazy mixed up bird is what!
