I just love baby quilts that aren't the usual thing. I looked at Thousands of Bolts and didn't really see anything in the juvie fabrics that looked right with this one. I do like it just the way it is and it will be huge over that teeny boy for quite awhile.

I finally have pips on Day 21. One of Shadow's, Aimee's only one and Ellie's.

LH, that was funny

Cyn, that quilt looks really nice. Good luck with the hatch.

Good grief! I'm like 8 pages behind here!

Just been as busy as a one legged man in a butt kicking contest.

But, I did want to pop by and say "HI" and that yes, I'm still alive and kicking. I'll try to get caught up later this weekend and hopefully get around to posting some pictures of the now completed master bathroom tub surround. I think I could happily put away the wet saw tile cutter for a few years and not miss it in the slightest! I'm just glad it's all done and behind me now. And yes, the first soak in the tub was positively GLORIOUS!!!

Hope y'all have having a great weekend.

Gotta run............................

LH n Yes! That was was the bubble bath story and yes, I used lavender scented dish soap. Unfortunately it was already getting cold and dark out so I opted to plunk Edgar in the bath tub. The hens did not get to see his humiliation that time but making him run a few laps around the pen in front of them does the job as Seminolewind describes. Great cougar pictures!

Seminolewind, that is very interesting about the Polish preferring their pen. Edgar and 3 hens do not like to venture out. When I force them out the hens will nibble of grass a little but do not scratch around. Edgar is on high alert the whole time. Their pen is 8x40', it is completely roofed over due to all the rain we get. I think these few chickens are very uncomfortable exposed to open sky. This has been yet another way to adjust Edgar's attitude, boot him out and keep him out until almost dusk. He is happy to be humble and cooperate in order to be allowed back into the pen. Feather brained roosters....

Gorgeous roos Kathy! I use 'reject' sand in my pens. It has a bit of gravel in it and not suitable for building projects. It is a fraction of the price as construction grade sand if it available in your area.

So glad to hear Colby is doing well Scot!!!!

We have Aimee's chick and one of Carly's hatched; two of Shadow's, plus Maretta's and Ellie's are all pipped.

Here is the baby quilt with borders attached plus a picture of what I think we'll use for the backing, a hummingbird fabric I've had for years, waiting to use on a lap or baby quilt. It has blues and yellows in it, as you can see.

This is a close up view-the birds are not quite as large as they appear in the photo.

You and Amy have motivated me to get going on my sewing. Today I cut out the diamonds for the tumbling blocks quilt. I am not sure weather to put them on the lime green background and use the butterfly material for the back, or the other way around with the lime on the back. I think it might almost be to busy with the butterfly background. Any opinions are greatly appreciated. The colors just don't show up right. The lime green actually is the same as the lime colored butterflies.

Lookin' good, Cyn! Congrats on the chicks, too!

I have made a decision. Big sell off going on here. I am keeping only:
New Hampshires, Barred Rocks, Delaware Projects, Icelandics, and 1 pen of Silver Laced Wyandottes. Everything else is for sale.
If you know anyone interested, send them my way. I will not ship. I hate to go to CraigsList, but will if they don't go quickly.
