Having had cats all my life, I can honestly say I have hardly ever had a bad one- get one from a kitten and it will adapt somewhat, as much as cats can, to your personality. And some are more interested in hunting than others. If you want a good outdoor kitty, find a farmer with a litter that the mama has partially trained. Good mousers!

Cetawin, thanks for that site- I have it written down! My sketch of the flag got taped by DH to the back deck sliding glass doors to deter birds from committing suicide. I guess I will HAVE to get some fabric and start sewing a few of those, won't I? hehehe - Cyn, WOULD you ever drive over to Franklin?

Do any of you belong to breed clubs? What's the average amount for dues? I KNOW I could go try to find websites for every single club possible, but that would take hours and isn't as much fun as picking all of your excellent brains!

I belong to the Plymouth Rock Fanciers Club...dues are only $15/yr. That is how I "met" Robert (Bob) Blosl on the Heritage Thread here now...he was a big help to me from the beginning

Hey Everybody,
Hope everyone is doing Good! To catch up it's taken two weeks, but my computer is now virus free!

Peep and the pals are growin fast. Work has been a major pain, lol Big Willy has been behavin, but I think it's because I carry a stick with me now when collecting eggs and feeding. Oh got a question. When is a pullet egg no longer considered a pullet egg? Fall is finally setting in here cool nights and warm days.

Interesting and gross discovery today....caught my younger dog chewing on something on the far side of the yard. Turns out it was a chicken foot. BLECH. Appears to be from the samechicken she 'found' the partial carcass on yesterday. She seems to be finding bits and pieces here and there. GROSS. I was a little worried as it was an awfully big leg for that chicken.......had to hunt all over to find my only other blue girl, who is going through a really hard molt and was hiding......but found her i did.

No new kills today....sigh.....
