With the meds, I am doing better for sure. Its just hard to pen down exactly what has happened to me. I don't seem to fit into any category. Not migraine, not stroke not really neuralgia as the Dr. calls it. I just wish I could pigeon hole it then I'd know what to expect next. I like knowing how to prepare when I can. Thanks so much for caring Gloria Jean

I hope you feel better soon.

Make sure they can't knock it over too.

It's hard to imagine a squirrel upsetting your birds so much, but I'll take your word for it.
If you've never had a run in with squirrels, then count yourself lucky! Bushy tailed rats is what they are! We declared war on them around our place for two reasons. One, they kept chewing on our house and two, they attacked and killed an entire family of Western Bluebirds while they were in their bird house. The same birdhouse that we had put up for THEM! Not the dang squirrels!

Any love I may have had for the furry little rodents died with the Bluebird family! It was so senseless, IMHO!

Get 'em Tim! They're nothing more than long haired rats!

We've had friends who came home from vacation to find squirrels had gotten into their house. Destroyed the windows trying to get out , broke dishes, ruined walls and just wrecked the place. Insurance pays nothing.

We personally have had them get into our house. What a nightmare. They are rats with bushy tales. They will eat anything.

Even stole all the wooden eggs I had in the nest boxes. Then the chickens wouldn't go in to lay their eggs.

They carry cooties and disease. I wonder if that's where some folks are getting their mite problem.

Never trust a rat with a bushy tail my uncle always used to say, after his second divorce.

Oh Lacy! I'm sorry if that sounded like I was fussing at ya. Not so! I was just saying that if you haven't had any run ins with them, count yourself very lucky! If I had my druthers, I'd rather not have had to deal with them myself. Cuz, even as destructive as they are, they're still kind of cute. In a Satan incarnate kind of way!

Serrin, So sorry for your loss of the blue bird family. Don't know if this would be of any use for the blue bird house, we have one of those big tractor cultivator disc on our bird feeder pole to keep the bushy tailed rats out of the bird feeder. They can not get past it. Had our Suburban suddenly quit on day when I was driving 55 mph in the rain. Why did the truck die? The mechanic found that rodents, in our case pack rats or chipmunks, had stripped the insulation of the truck's electrical wires. The splatter from the rain shorted out the truck....ever need a tow truck at noon on Thanksgiving Day? Made it to the family dinner in time for dessert. *&^%$ rodents!

Tim, my biggest concern is when they start chewing on the wiring in a house out out building. A semi feral cat decided to take up residence in our wood barn a couple of years ago, he is great with the chickens and made a major dent in the rodent population.

Serrin,
I,ve seen both sides of the little critters. They eat my bird seeds when they get a chance but so far since my runs are covered they have not invaded the coops and chickens. My neighbor across the road has not been so blessed. They eat into her attic and ruined her insulation, etc. It was a very expensive fix. TWICE. SO FAR. LOL. She lives in a grove of Oak trees on the side of a mtn. Its minimally cleared under them. Really not safe if there was a fire but she is 90 and lives there now only when her children bring her for a short summer visit.
Its probably under snow this morning. Gloria Jean
