Leggs is VERY gentle, yes. All of my Giants have been gentle. They will eat out of my hand.

Icelandics .... they are one of the cuts I have to make. I really really want to focus on the Heritage breeds, and I need the pen space, ya know? I hate it, but gotta cut somewhere, and they were the last ones to make the list. Though ......... I do still have them. Here are 3 of them from today .... Kola (meaning Blacky in Icelandic) looks near point of lay. She is the only black Icelandic so far, too ....

Two of the boys ....

Good heavens woman! Those are so drop dead gorgeous, how could you possibly part with them. Just stuff them in your eye candy yard and be done with all of this foolish talk of getting rid of them!

Ladyhawk, how did the tablecloth fit on your table? Hope it's okay!

Maxie, remarkably, is still alive today and almost perky. Wasn't expecting her to live through the night. I am not in a rush to put down a bird after my experiences with Ivy and Olivia. Livvie is doing great still, but I know what is probably in her poor oviducts, so I'm not at all holding out hope that she'll be here for years, but she is perky, energetic, and fiesty.

Cyn I have not put it on the table yet....I have been waiting for everyone to go away. I am terrified someone will spill something on it before I get it scotch guarded hahaha I will try it i a few minutes PROMISE but I am sure it fits. It is sooooooooooooooooooo beautiful too.

Oh, my gosh, that is beautiful! Good job, Cyn- that is a lovely piece!
Cetawin, do I still see the Awful Yellow Kitchen?

I am glad Maxie seems better, I wish Valentina could have perked up, but she slipped away, which actually I am glad for, too, as I didn't want DH to have to do anything.

Still no word on Zeke, maybe Monday. We find ourselves doing silly things like sitting on the couch and staring at him while he sleeps.

Kathy, I wish with all my heart I could take those Icelandics- I just love them, but any new pens go to Ohio Delaware finds and our project- which reminds me I had best get outside and finish working on the run for the British Royals.

Boo and Ivan faced off, all ruffled up, and little Ivan won the stare down. Big ol' Boo shrieked and ran.

Amy is hunting today, right?

That's what I'm saying Amy. LOL

They really are beautiful. The cool thing about the Icelandics is that there is no "standard," for them. They all look different. Different colors, different combs, some with sprigs of a crest, etc ..... Their size is in between a bantam and a standard. Their eggs (the ones I hatched from) were BEAUTIFUL white .... I mean bright, bright, brilliant white, and they were big eggs, not little bantam eggs. Mary (The Warden) just hatched a clutch, and posted the chick pictures. She got a black.... her first black one. Looks like Kola won't be the only black any more.

Icelandic egg .....
