Well I wish the lowest we got was the 30's.

Trilyn is talking RIR's from Pine Grove. I'm not really into RIR's but his are dark and she likes them and I got her hooked on Dels. I haven't told DW. My motto is "What she doesn't know, won't hurt me".

She always asks the stupid question, "Whats that noise in the office" and I say "What noise" and she says "it sounds like chicks" and I say "it must be on the computer" and she opens the door and says "they must have popped out then, huh?" and I say "ya gotta love the new technology", then she brings my pillows out and throws them on the couch and says, "good night chicken man".

Then it's BR's from Scott, but I'm headed to Ala. after the ALBC convention so i gotta wait to start a hatch.

Take your chicken addiction controling meds folks,

Rancher

Are you kiddin' me .... simple! And the kids LOVED your instructions! They were crackin' up when they came to the part about standing back and admiring their hard work! (Mostly because that is exactly what they were doing!)

They are having such fun making them, I think I am gonna go for about 4 of them for now!

Ooh, that'll be 8 new brooders. That should be awesome! And its even more awesome that you are letting your young little laborers do all the work! Can't beat that.

Next you'll want some doublesized ones. So when are you going to make a 4x4 coop?

I was thinkin' ..... ummmmm, how about tomorrow!

Well, that is if it isn't toooooo cold outside. Suppose to get frost tonight, near freezing. High tomorrow in the 60s I think. Which, when ya think about it, is quite warm compared to blizzard conditions in the winter. So, yeah, tomorrow sounds like a good day to work on a couple of those little coops! I really NEED them, to put my trios of breeders in.

Edited to add ..... BTW, Nella, I need some step-by-step instructions for those little coops, too!

Haaaaaaaaaa, I only have the really really basic instructions I posted the other day. Mine is not finished yet.....

Maybe you should build one and then show me some step by step instructions!

I need to take some time to finish all of my projects so I can move everything back down to the garage for winter. I need that half of my carport back! If I could finish the brooder and the coop, I would be "mostly" done for now.

Hey LH, my little poodle is feeling your pain. She has some dental problems....so went in for dental surgery today. She lost 12 teeth! One of the back ones came out when the guy pushed it with his finger and she lost all of her front teeth except for her canines and 1 single little tooth up there. However, it only cost $70 for the dental plus 12 extractions. I wonder if I wear a dog suit, if they will do my dental work? Sigh.

I was telling them how her teeth didnt look that bad 6 months ago and now all of a sudden they are all rotten. I swear i didn't see much tartar six months ago. They told me that there wasn't a lot of tartar on the teeth....that most of the gunk all over them was HAIR......that it was actually holding a few of the teeth IN. Grooooooossss. It wasnt even her hair...she is black and it was light colored hair. She is an obsessive licker and her "boyfriend" is my big silver sable looking shepherd mix. Sigh.

I am only gonna say this once WE DO NOT SAY THE "D" WORD It makes my face hurt!

My ChiChi has a canine that is so bad that I can move it with my finger. They do not want to put him under just for that though. The problem with little doggies is that their teeth are so small and so close together, food and such gets between them and near to impossible to get out. Poor little baby.

Janelle...I need bantam expert opinion so listen up

Okay dis is what I have that I need cages for...the idea...cages to go inside my big coop for sleeping and cold days only...good weather they will be outside...but I only have to heat my big coop if I put everyone in there... so what size do I need for the following groups?

3 - Porcelains (Spike and his 2 girls)
2 - Mille Fleurs (Emmett and Esma)
3 - Partridge Silkies (Trio)
2 - Partridge Silkies (Pair)

So what size do you recommend for each of those groupings?

I am having design me a new hook for my coops and once I get them made I shall show them to you all and see what you think...whatever it turns out to be, he can always make them for others.

Okay, first thing first.....how big is your coop? I would design something on the wall sort of like the brooders. Or metal cages that can be hung.....something that won't take up any floor space and therefore technically don't count as taking up ANY space.
