No worries Beth, that is her visiting the other GIRL horse, not the stallion. I thought the same thing at first. RUH ROH, LOL.

Although, yes, if she is going into season......might want to get that fence at home fixed sooner rather than later. Otherwise Mr Studmuffin might make a little detour..........

Speaking of going into heat, my Buff Orp, Nugget, is trying to go broody. She's running around with her head feathers all flared out, clucking under her breath. Silly chicken. Sigh. No eggs to give her except for two Dellie eggs. I don't want anyone to ship any because she'd probably snap out of it, then. If she gets serious, I'll give her those two and whatever Ellie lays for me since Georgie is still on strike.

Tell Joleta no illicit matings! Better get that fence up, LH. FAST!
ETA: No, Bill, I don't want Buckeye eggs!

LOL.

Cyn, don't do it! Don't say the word B-R-O-O-D-Y around here! My girls will hear you and think you are takling to them............no more broodies! I need a broody free rest of the winter!

Cyn, do it! When was the last time you even hatched an egg? I don't know what's getting into you... If you don't do it than next Spring must be extra exciting in the North GA mountains!

Beth I will check her again in a few minutes when I go feed but she was not going potty when that pic was taken...she was sliding in the mud and stretched out to go nose to nose with the other mare. a day and a half of straight rain has made that track very muddy...see below her feet in this one

I can't afford to be a hatchaholic these days. Can't feed or house them all! I do have to hatch a few in the spring, though, since my flock is becoming a bit elderly. Most are over three years old now, all the way up to five years old. That 5 yr old Reba, though, has laid five eggs in the last two weeks. Not too shabby for an old hatchery lady, huh?

Hmm,when will I hit 46000?

Oh, I see. Not TOO shabby, considering my friend's pullet just died at age eight from a predator and layed all the way through her years.

You'll hit 46,000... NOW!
