Afternoon all.....hotter 'en blue blazes again, and NO RAIN

I'm in the final selection process of my Col Rock boys so I thought I'd show y'all an album of each and ask for opinions (gonna attach one with the girls too, but because I have so few, I'm keeping all of them for now). First pix of each boy has a few notes about him in the comments section. Wing carriage on all 4 is good....some pix were taken when it was dang hot

No. 2 is standing proud. Scott. Maybe it the way the picture was taken but he is pretty. I don't know about standard but I just liked him better. Gloria Jean Cool????????? what is that?

Scott I like that #2 boy and there is something about the third one that I like too...just not sure what it is.

Remember I am weird that way...LOL

Scott, you know I know absolutely nothing about the SOP of the various breeds. But even so, to my eyes, those boys and girls are all beautiful creatures. All show the care and love with which you have raised them.

I'm with Cetawin and Gloria Jean in that #2 is the best looking boy of the four. He just has that "IT" factor about him. He already knows that he's Top Shelf material. He just has to convince the rest of the world of that now!

Scott, how is their size, relative to each other? Are any bigger or broader than the others?

Is it difficult getting the yellow legs with columbians?

Im not familiar with exactly how the columbian color is supposed to be, but it sure looks like you have very clean and crisp coloring with those. They do make a gorgeous flock, dont they?

The Orange banded and Blue banded boys are the largest by weight at this point....5.1 lbs and 4.9 lbs, respectively. The orange banded bird has better yellow to his legs although it is a bit pale. I am planning to outcross them to a really nice white rock pullet with SUPER yellow legs this Fall

Uh, is there any green sheen in that black?

Sorry- I just had to - and I opened up my SOP to compare outlines. HA!!! You are doing pretty darn good!

I have to understand how this crossing goes with the APA as far as the breed is concerned. Do you cross the CR with your Dels and call them Dels or CRELS? I wonder how many are passing these crosses off as Dels. I have to say I'm not pleased with the hackle pattern on Georgia girl. Though she does seem to have good type.

How will anyone tell whether a Del has CR in it's blood. How do they differ? How can one compare the two to differentiate them other than feather pattern. Do CR have barring on the hackles and tail?

Lottta questions I know but is this post about Dels or just folks talking cuz I've got that going on in the Coffee post. Not that I don't like the folks here. I want to specialize in Dels, so I need to find the answers. .

I have been in and out today, a minute or two here and there. DD was admitted to the hospital. She is 6 mths preg and has been sick for 2 weeks now. She has been to the ER twice, and the Dr 3 times. She got lucky today, as her Dr was out of town. The Dr she saw realized how sick she is. Her temp was 103.5 and she was trembling with chills. She has terrible back pain, and dark urine (even with drinking lots of water). I have felt this is some urological or hepatic problem all along. Now they are looking at her pancreas, gall bladder, and liver. My poor baby is not feeling well at all.
