I just put 24 eggs into the hatcher today also, at day 18. We can be hatching buddies! I really really hope these dark green olive eggs hatch. She is my only Olive Egger, and I have her in with Ameraucana roosters. The eggs are so dark, they look nearly black, so I put her in with blue egg layers, to see how that would turn out. I think if I put her with the Marans the egg would just get darker and darker brownish-black. I dunno.

Sounds Great!!

Well this little monster greeted me at 115 this morning!

Its a EE out of my pair I got in the summer. He/she makes the third one i've hatched from them. I have three other pips ( partridge cochins). I'm keeping my fingers crossed on the turkies.

Mine were born April 1st and I didn't get my first egg until late Sept. So I guess I was pretty lucky, but my White Rock also waited till this month.

Just out of curiosity Nick, what all do you feed your girls on a regular, daily basis? Do you let them out to free range during the day at all? What kind of treats do you give them? Are they getting plenty of both calcium and protein? Sometimes the reason for a delayed start in laying can be traced directly back to one dietary deficiency or another.

They are free range all day and fed organic layer feed. I also feed oyster shell along with it. They get a lot of treats- watermelon, corn, birdseed, grapes, blueberries and they help themselves to the flowers.

Hey, how are we going to get Delaware domination if you hatch out EE's?

Now my last hatch not to long ago the incu ran high 100.00 or so this time it's running low 99.3. I've always trusted it so things should be ok. At least I hope so. I've got EE's too but mostly Dels. Some friz's and a couple of Bantam brn leghorns.

Now let us know and post pics of everyone who hatches out even if they aren't Dels.

Wish you a great hatch
