Amy,
Nick had a good suggestion there. Maybe starting a thread in the Emergencies area would help. There are alot of smart people on BYC, for sure. I would also send an email to our DPC vet!

That said, it just seems to me that you are noticing something in his throat, not in his lungs...... according to your description. I wonder if he has something stuck there.

The Denagard (Tiamulin) is one in the same.... one is generic name. You should be able to get it at the feed store, I would imagine. It is added to the water. There are a few threads on BYC discussing this product, too.

Amy...Pick Chief up and set him on the counter put your palm on his chest and your ear to his back...listen to his breathing...do the same in reverse...palm on back and ear to chest...is there any rattling, wheezy, gurgling etc etc?

When...nevermind I am calling you. LOL

And so it begins.

I posted to CL for some of these chicks. Got a response today and have a guy coming 4hrs to get 4. That's a long way to go for 4 chicks and they are crosses. EE's and Dels. Now I have to tell you had a little boy here today and these little girls (

) just sat in the palm of his hand. They are so friendly.
Took him into the run with the big girls and the dels came and ate right out of his hand. He didn't flinch at all. He was so cute. Oh by the way He is 4 years old. I'm not a numeroligist, it's just a coincidence. But I think it's neat cuz I had no idea what I was going to do with these chicks, well the extras anyhow. I can find homes for them easy enough, if I give them away. He said he's coming for 4 but if you know me he's leaving with more.

Remember Thor was light with the tinged blue as well... I have never seen a splash with that much dark blue...maybe someone else has. So I am saying it is blue

Kathy....looks splashed to me. BUT, I've only had Splash rocks, not cochins.

That's what I thought, too. The only reason I thought it may be a light blue, is because .... I got 3 out of 5 this color. That is quite unusual, since the % of chances of getting a splash are so low. Hmmmm, I have 3 splash chicks! I have alot of chickens, and ya know, I have NO splash chickens! I look forward to it .... well, if they are girls!
