Dang that's a great looking barn Bassleg! Oh what I wouldn't give for a shop/coop/garage combo with a footprint that big! I can at least remember (and see) that that sucker is huge, but of course, I've forgotten what you said the dimensions are on that. So, tell me again, please. How big is that thing?

And if you don't mind my asking, how much do you have invested in that? Was it one of those kit barns from someplace like General Steele? Or maybe Star Steele Buildings? Or did you simply build from scratch? Inquiring minds with an eye to the future would really like to know!

But, if it's none of my beeswax, just tell me to shut up and bugger off!!

I'm nosey! You wouldn't be the first person to tell me to get my nose out of other peoples' private life!

I'm not gonna lie, I'm planning on getting just a big building at my next place. I really would do well to have an 8x16 coop or something. But Lowes has a nice wooden 8x8 simple shed for $499. Can't beat that if you just need a nice sized coop. I think it has to be assembled though (sigh).

Snow Snow and more Snow ack! I am going to brave the snow banks in my little truck as I have overdue library books thanks to this weather...gotta take them back. So I have a new tune to sing on my travels

"a sliding we will go a sliding we will go Hi Ho they chevy goes a sliding we will go!"

Shall report back on this journey later. Look out Georgetown KY here I come. *snicker*

Yes, today is my first day at the office ALL WEEK. The back end of my truck raced the front end down my little hill and it actually considered winning. And then I straightened out and put the darn truck in 4 wheel drive. Sigh.

Scott, I couple probably build a pretty neat coop myself, but working alone makes it very difficult. If I was actually moving to a new property it would be worthwhile to just buy a shed and have it there and ready to go, I think. Maybe. Maybe not.....if I had a flat spot here, I would definitely build myself another 8x8 shed. Alas, I have none.

This winter has been really hard in Tom, having to slide all over, wrenching his back and knees, to keep maintaining the birds, who are just now getting to go outside since it's over 32 degrees and sunny today, finally. Flatter land would be good, even though I hate, hate, hate flat, see-forever, land! I feel so exposed to the world on that type of property, but it may be necessary. I hate the thought of going further south and being closer to the ocean, but maybe west next to Alabama around Columbus, GA wouldn't be so terrible. It's depressing, though, looking at properties down there on the net.

I helped DH last spring/summer with remodeling our old bedroom into a new coop. You can see the link to it in my siggy. Anyway the next thing is to put a small run on the back of it for the brooder/grow out/breeder section. Oh, and I need steps built too.

Cetawin, be careful out there. You too Nella!

Cyn, I grew up in Columbus. Then I had to meet and fall in love with a Michigan man. The winters are far too long here but the summers there are just too hot and humid. Right now I think I would rather have the hot humid summers.
