My friend had 5 dogs on hers, and only had a problem if the batteries got low or they lost power, so watch for that. After using it for several years, the dogs don't even try the boundaries any more.

Tyson is a mutt. He got his name because he looked like a boxer when he was "hatched." Neighbor down the road has a boxer, who is the likely sperm donor. Funny how Tyson (chicken) now fits him sooooo well!

Yes, glad for the downsizing, for sure. However, within a couple months I am going to have so many grow outs, I feel a new build will be necessary.

I sure hope it works. Tyson is such a good dog, really. I would hate to have to rehome him.

My growout pen last year was ridiculous. My neighbor came over one day and just about died. I am going to ask him to do chicken stuff for me while I'm gone since weather is supposed to be bad and I hate to make my poor petsitter attempt the back hill in the snow/ice/rain and have to lug buckets of water, break ice, etc. Anywho, so I am going to see if my neighbor will do it......he hasn't been over since I had about 150 birds. I bet he'll be impressed!

Oh gosh Nella... I am guilty, too! I am dellie-less! But on the other hand, yesterday my neighbor and I designed the delaware coop/pen. Oh yeah! Hope y'all have a blast at LH's party! Please do update me with pictures!

ONE grow out pen???? ha .... I am thinking ....... ummmm, several of them.

I had my 16x24 growout pen and an 8x8 growout....plus used my tractor off and on for birds. Once they got to be teenagers I flung them out to the "big yard" to live with my big birds. 1/2 acre yard sounds like a perfect growout pen. That's how that growout pen slowly just became a rooster pen. All the girls got to stay in the "big yard".
