I need to move some chicks out of the garage into my empty pens. It is suppose to be 50* on Friday. I hope to get a bunch of work done then.

No, I am going to Ohio to visit my boyfriend. Original plan was to drop off some birds at LH's on the way but am going to skip that and just stay on the freeway and hope for the best. Must. Make. It. There.

I know! What should I build? Hmmmmmmm......My local feed store has some panels on consignment. They are about 3'x5', made of heavy metal mesh (like hog panel strength)...and are like $2.50 each.

They were out last weekend but were hoping to get the last load in this week. I am going Monday to meet up with someone who is buying a couple of my hens.....if they have some, I am buying enough to make a covered pen for my mottled cochins finally.

Otherwise, I am going to build a little hutch in my 8x8 pen. 3x4 hutch built onto the side of the coop. Simple slanted roof. Should be a really easy build. I HOPE.
