Yay for my brooder plans being world famous! LOL

They are really darn easy to build. DARN EASY. Everyone should have one.

It's cold here today. Brrrr. Everything was frozen solid this morning. Had to lug a bucket of water down the hill and everything. Darn it, it took me 5 minutes to do morning chicken chores instead of 3! Blasphemy......

Looking forward to this weekend. Going to try to get the big brooder shed cleaned out and emptied.....It needs those poopy walls scrubbed down good finally. If I can get it emptied out, I will douse it in bleach or vinegar and just let it sit for a few days. I'd like to get it moved to the end of the garage finally....which may take some manpower. I wonder if I can bribe my neighbors......or relatives.....

I put your instructions on one of my BYC pages, for quick access. Hope that is okay with you.
Of course, I give no credit to you whatsoever.

I like how you not only "stole my plans" you actually copied them word for word. You crack me up! I had planned on doing the same eventually, as far as making a BYC page with my instructions, so no worries. The more the merrier. I want an army of people that have the "NellaBean Brooder". However, in gratitude for my awesome plans, I do expect NO ROOSTERS from you at the meetup in May! 2 dellie girls! That's it!

You believe her don't ya Nella?

Well, if sex is determined by the hen...........we all just need to figure out which hens "throw" mostly girls and use those.

....easier said than done. My last hatch of 26.....nearly ALL of the blue wheatens are boys. I have no idea what that means. Nearly all of the poofy cheeked chicks are boys. I have no idea what that means.

Nearly all of the solid blue or splash are girls. Actually, scratch that...>ALL of the solid blue or splash are girls. I have no idea what that means.

I am going to assume that the non poofy cheeked solid blue chicks are daughters of my aracuana/marans OE hen. I have no evidence for this idea. I just like it.
