It's about time!

Boy, it was beautiful out today. 65* and sunny. Tomorrow is to be even better, with temps in the 70s. The mud slick here is unreal, from the melting snow. This ground does not soak up water period. Awful mess is sure to remain for a while.

Pulled out all the heated waterers today. I am so glad to be able to use the hose instead of toting water.

I have lots and lots of new layers, and have so many eggs! Gosh, I can't incubate all of them. Guess I will have to eat some.

Ya know, its great that this is all saved in the thread... It's classic!

It is very hard to manage a brooder full of two different types of bedding, I have realized. This afternoon I I will just change it to paper towels until I go chicken shopping I guess.

It feels so nice here, too! And it will be in the 70's on Saturday!! This is paradise- I love being outside! It even smells like Spring. I reeeeeeaaaaallyyyyy hope it will stay!

Thanks, I think they are developing nicely. I am going to keep Max and Impy and put Gus up for sale - I don't need all three, and Max has a chronic tendon problem and limps, so he stays with me.
I hope for eggs soon- the boys are ready to rock and roll but the girls don't like the idea yet.
