Oh gosh! That's horrible. It's been in the low 60's here, but thunderstorms and flooding all day. Scott, do you have this weather too?
I'm moving the Dels out on Friday! Should be fun, it's supposed to be nice then. Maybe I'll even do it tomorrow, though I would like to have weekend time to get them all situated.

I am only about 40 miles NW of you. Yes, we have had 6"+ of rain here since yesterday. Bridges are out, streams are over the roads, many pastures here look more like a large lake. We need the rain....just not all at one time.....

Wow. I wonder if Cyn had it and her power went off. We had flood watches here and a flooding creek pretty close to our home, but nothing major. Hey, congrats on the GFM!
Rained most of the day, but nothing except a brown-out with the power for a couple seconds. I can't take a 3rd power outage while incubating a precious Suede baby! Day 18 tonight on that one.
Mucho congrats on the new job! I hope the week of training goes swiftly for you. I can't think of a single person at this moment, for whom I could be happier for. You really deserve this Scott. I hope that it is a job where you can really shine, and that management will readily see what a huge asset they now have! Here's to your first promotion, your first pay raise and your first big fat bonus check!!! May your relationship with this new company be a long and happy one!!
Laura! You did it again woman! Quit swiping all of my snow! I wanna know you and Tim's secret for attracting all of that beautiful white fluff. Cuz right now, I'm up to my eyeballs in mud and it's getting me quite irritated!
Hey Cyn,
how many of Suede's little goobers do ya have in there? Are they all looking good so far? Keeping my fingers crossed for the offspring of the Big Blue Tank! We still need another potential Thor after all. Though, in my book, there will only ever be one Thor. Others may come close, but nobody could ever completely fill his wattles!
Well, GeeGee and her two little hooligans are doing just fine. Though all three are about to drive me up the wall with their constant antics in the brooder hutch! I'm sure they're no worse than anyone else has ever dealt with, but this time, it's ME dealing with them!
A more protective mama girl I have yet to encounter. At least Maggie let me pick up her babies when they got here. GeeGee insists on putting her big blue butt between the chicks and anything or anyone she perceives as a threat. How many times do I have to tell her?? I AM NOT A THREAT!!
Silly woman!
I can't complain I suppose. At least GeeGee's attitude has kept my little miss nosy snoopervisor cat from getting anywhere near the babies. DeeDaa would never harm a full, or even half grown chicken. But a little fuzzy puff ball would be more than even she could resist!
Though I do enjoy their company, I will be so much happier when the weather warms up and the babies are big enough to join the rest of the flock. About another 4 weeks, at the inside, as I see it. Good garden o' peas, as Tim would say. If I put them out there now, I think I'd lose them in all of the mud!
Well kiddiwinks. Another day comes to a close here in the Inland Northwest. Hope y'all have a wonderful day tomorrow.
Scott, again, congrats on the job and the GFM sweetie! Both richly deserved!
