I don't see this trait in my Nick. I don't think Nick is a tall as Uncle george though. I'll have to wait and see if I want to deal with it. This is what happens when you have three roos running with flock. Only ones I know for sure are Nicks are the six girls.

I checked Oliver ..... plucking didn't help at all. It grew back! A nice big ol' white sickle feather!

I'm going to have to put down the small Speckled Sussex. She is just lethargic, sleeps all the time, her neck even lolls back over her left shoulder on occasion. Bought a chick at the feed store to keep Adonis company, a Silver Phoenix pullet, but she is screaming her fool head off in the brooder, wants human attention since she sat in my hand all the way home. I'm about to commit chickacide if she doesn't shut up!

She's a week old and smaller than Adonis, who is two days old.

aaawwwww Cyn I am sorry about the little SS Molly isn't it? So are you saying I get a silver phoenix with Adonis? hmmmm never had one of those. But whatever you bring is fine as you know already. I wish you would let me pay you for some of them...especially the expense of buying the babies to keep mine company.

RIP little one. Sorry Cyn

Sorry ! that is so sad - LOVE the sussex -

My three that i hatched are terrified of me - i hold them twice a day and each time i pick them up you would think that i was trying to kill them!

Well, I may keep the SP pullet, just not sure yet. You remember Kate (helmstead)? She and her DH raised Phoenix and she loved them, thought they were super sweet. They're a small standard breed and lay fairly small eggs. I had no other real choices today in the feed store. She sold most of her last batches. I haven't put Molly down yet. If we do, the Phoenix baby can have that name. Molly's wings keep getting larger and larger but Adonis is almost as large as she is and she's about 3 weeks old.

Knox the little buggers should be happy to have you as a daddy...my goodness what is wrong with them. These two little Serama crosses are so sweet...they just sit on your finger and sing. The milles act like I am the devil in female form. LOL

Well Cyn you cannot blame Molly for Adonis being his Daddy's boy....I mean Suede is a big ole boy. hehehehe Well whatever you do with the SP is fine....just know that if you need to or want to, she can come here. Yes I do remember Kate had them....she would love to have her I am sure.
