I now have Roo's in the flock - obviously go with the cochins - but i look forward to some cool Cochin- Del crosses!

So glad that you're enjoying them.

Weekend to do list:

-Tare dead ivy, and clear a new area for chicken coops.
-Set Delawares' run back up, which had to be taken down for grass to be planted.
-Disinfect coops
-Set up the brooders that I thought I finished
-Go to Home Depot, buy coop and run materials
-Dig pits for dusting in each run.

Not as much as last week!
 
Evening all! Been busy at this "new job thing".....

Hope everyone is well. Expecting BAD storms here tonight. Just hatched 21 Col Rock chicks that are in the brooder....praying lights stay on as it was my largest hatch to date. Hatched 21 of 23....not too bad.

I also have 16-17 BRs in another brooder (part from Hardy lines, part from Jeremy)...I think they would be alright for a short time without addt heat.

Well, gotta run. Everyone stay well.

Tim - have you candled those eggs yet? Keep us up to date on that hatch
