Well I spent part of the day putting the new tin roof on the orpington run. did I mention I scored 14 panels of used corrugated tin.? A friend of my SIL had him replace a roof on his shed and the friend was going to throw them out, but I got them. Would've cost me $225, new. These are the older kind. heavier and wider.

I intend to mix this with some clear plastic panels so the run gets some light. I'll have more than enough panels so I might do a hoop coop too. No more tarps to deal with on the runs next spring.

I've been letting the Dels out in the yard with their babies. I've got a Del frizzle and another barred. Buckwheat is laying again and I'm not taking any chances on not getting more frizzles. I put four of her eggs under an EE hen in the coop, who insists on sitting. Lord only knows what I'll do with the chicks when and if they hatch.
