Oh Cynthia!! WOW!!

That just knocks my socks off! Don't change a thing! I love all of the yellow in it, and I'm not generally fond of yellow. But that whole block is just exquisite!! Love it! Love it!! LOVE IT!!!

Well, I'm making it for someone else (commissioned) so he'll have to weigh in on it. If I make another one, I'll probably change the light purple fabric to dark blue and change all the yellow-gold to light blues and purples, so maybe get a watercolor effect.

I am not a yellow person, either, but that is really eye catching. You have such a good eye! But I really want to see when you do it in the purples and blues- that will probably have me drooling!

Cetawin, what is the barn at this new place like?

My sister is "crafty" too. She knits and has started doing a lot of sewing and quilting.

Here is some mini quilt thing she made recently.

She does sewing crafts, I do wood crafts. I build the coop, she makes the curtains and the saddles LOL.

She tried teaching me, but I am not very artsy.

I would much rather build something large and hands on, then do the tedous artsy stuff by hand.

Guess we are NOT 2 peas in a pod! ha!

Scott - your insurance should cover a rental car while the van is in the shop for repairs under the comp and collision...make sure you ask them, most of them will not volunteer the info.

Cyn, I like it and I am not a big yellow fan as you know.

I am giving this cold thingy until Friday and then I am going back to southern states, grabbing another bottle of penicillin and jabbing my backside again. grrrrrrrr

Cyn,
I am loving that quilt you are working on! I happen to love yellow .... it is so cheerful.

Nella,
That is a "dresden plate," pattern that your sis did. I love her fabric choices ..... reminds me of my grandma's quilts and fabrics. She did a very nice job. I would love to hang that on my wall.

Cetawin: dump the house and look elsewhere, let her stew, plus you may be missing something better and on flatter turf. Just MO. Lots of realty out there and how ever long she has to hold it she needs to pay taxes and all that. Do not go for a high interest rate. Don't let your heart rule your head.

Yard and Kath: gotta have some BR eggs. Trilyn and I are planning to hatch in Jan. I do have to ask though if this is about Del Domination why the crosses Yard? Though Trilyn and I are hoping to get some blues too. Oh and some RIR's rosecomb and straight.

Speckled hen: So as you know I have a new GD and I'm knitting her one of those cute "fruit" hats and of course I didn t' have the right size needles and long story short I started it on the longer cir. needles and got the new 16" and am now doing it inside out cuz I'm left handed and I can't figure out how to reverse it. LOL. Oesdog was surprised I knit though I doubt it's something "blokes" do in Ireland so I may send her a peice of my stained glass work.
DW sews though and I just can't get into to many things. You are very talented and I agree about the yellow.

I've been away and it's hard to catch up to what's going on.

Yard: as for the heat I hate to see winter come. I hate the snow even if God did create it. Not sure it was part of His original plan either. Glad the kids are ok. Lord knows no matter how old they get though you still worry. Wish I had a house like the Biltmore then we could all live in it and not get on each others nerves. When there not living at home I want them here and when they're here I well, just need some space. Sorry just rambling. DD is moving out again and another is in Houston w/ SIL and I miss her too.

take care everyone.
Rancher

OOhhh I almost forgot SIL's dad some old hatching machines for me and I'm not sure but I think they are antiques. Wouldn't that be cool? Haven't seen them but they sound cool. I'll post pics when I get them.
